Every year on the Sunday of the March long weekend the Indigo Shire holds a full pro rodeo event prescribed by the Professional Rodeo Association of Australia. It is fun and entertainment for the whole family.
If you want to make a big weekend about it the Kyabram Rodeo is on the Friday night, and the Merrijig Rodeo the Saturday and of course the Chiltern Rodeo on the Sunday. Its full of action and spills, even the young guns get involved on the bareback pony broncs riding and the steer riding.

I've always loved the mountains ever since I saw the movie 'The Man from Snowy River' when I was a little girl, and like most girls who watch, fell in love with the character Jim Craig, and of course the mountains! After that I have always had a fascination with the way of the mountains, the history behind them and the hardy cattlemen who drove on the high country plains. Each part of the mountains, has a special story to tell and I like to think I can give them some sort of voice through my photographs.
